A twenty year national touring drummer, Matthias has recently been touring with the nation's leading tribute company Boogie Knights Productions: Perfect World Entertainment, which houses cast members: Jeff Scott Soto (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/NEAL SCHON) Johnny Gioeli (HARDLINE) Jason Orme (ALANIS MORISSETTE) as well as Matthias' band "THE WORLD FAMOUS AFRODISIACS", a 70's retro disco show that has taken the country by storm and literally ignited the disco revival of the 1990's in many European countries and across the U.S. with events ranging from seven encore appearances on the Jenny Jones television show in Chicago, to a private party for President George W. Bush at his home in Crawford , TX. While off tour, Matthias gives private drum lessons in the San Francisco / Contra Costa area in his full digital recording studio/rehearsal facility.

Matthias is about to embark on a national tour with virtuoso SF guitarist Doug Doppler and Uriah Duffy (WHITESNAKE) of DOPPLER INC. who is currently on the VH1 Classic / Dean Guitars "TALES OF ROCK ''N ROLL TOUR with six string legend Michael Schenker. Doppler Inc. recently played a Hurricane Katrina Benefit in Hollywood with INXS, TOTO and Slash (GUNS N ROSES/VELVET REVOLVER)

Residing in Los Angeles during the 80's and 90's, Matthias recorded and or played live with countless projects including Michael Schenker, Stevie Salas (ROD STEWART, WAS NOT WAS) Sass Jordan, producer Lee Curreri (FAME, NATALIE COLE) and local favorites :The Elektric Eyes and Ruby Slippers.

In the early 80's, Matthias co founded the SF glam pop band "CASTLE BLAK" with vocalist/songwriter Regent St Claire. Their debut LP "BABES IN TOYLAND" enjoyed European hit status on EMI RECORDS. "Babes" was produced by then local musician/producer and friend Kevin Army, who later went on to engineer the top ten "INSOMNIAC" by GREEN DAY. Blak was featured on Hit Parader magazine's compilation "The Wild Bunch" and was the CMJ College Music Report's "Killer Pick", as well as on the cover of the world's biggest selling weekly rock magazine KERRANG!
